A community located in Southwest Manitoba, needed a flexible, purpose-built community facility to support a variety of local programs, gatherings, and services. The Nation was looking for a solution that could be delivered efficiently, without the delays and disruptions common to traditional construction methods-particularly given the site’s seasonal accessibility constraints.
To meet that need, Modular Building Solutions coordinated the design and delivery of a 2,010 square foot, single-story modular building. The facility was tailored to accommodate multiple uses, with open gathering areas, private rooms for services or meetings, and durable finishes suited to high daily use. Built with long-term adaptability in mind, the structure allows for easy reconfiguration or expansion in future phases.
The building was constructed off-site in a CSA-certified facility, minimizing site disruption and improving speed and quality control. Once fabrication was complete, the modules were transported and installed on pre-prepared foundations, with utility hookups and final finishing completed by local trades. MBS oversaw all site coordination, working closely with the Nation to ensure the project remained on schedule and aligned with community needs.
Despite a narrow seasonal delivery window, the building was delivered and installed on time, with occupancy ready shortly thereafter. The result is a welcoming, resilient facility that will serve as a central hub for community engagement, programs, and support for years to come.
